The Second Polish Women’s Christian Conference of Chicagoland was held on March 21 in Arlington Hgts. IL at the Orchard Evangelical Free Church. It was a grand success from every aspect. Mary Whelchel of Moody Church and Radio will be the key note speaker. Preceding the Women’s conference on March 20 Friday evening, a free best of Poland Gospel Concert in Polish, was open to the entire family at the same location. Pastor Greg Bednarczyk from Poland concluded the Concert with a special invitation to trust in Christ completely. A full report with many pictures is coming.
In January – Anna, Mary and I drove to Chicago on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. We already had meetings on Thursday with friends in Naperville, the NAMB director in Chicago, a woman’s Bible study in DesPlaines and the media staff team for the Polish Christian women’s conference in WoodDale. Friday morning we met in the president’s office of Awana International in Streamwood with Jack Eggar to talk about our Awana trip this year to Poland that we have been planning for two years. We stayed at the Rorheim Training Center as the guests of Awana for five nights in Streamwood. Friday evening we did seek to bring the Gospel to a Catholic prayer group meeting at the Polish Mission Church in the city of Chicago. Because it is a mission Church, it is the only all Polish Roman Catholic Church in the city – Holy Trinity on Noble. The wonderful priest knew I am not a Roman Catholic, but because of my history and connections with Poland I was asked to speak. I SPOKE WITH QUESTIONS FOR ALMOST AN HOUR TO FIFTY PEOPLE. The defining issue for the religious lost is to put the Lord Jesus Christ above any other person, denomination or religious system and to place your faith in Christ alone. Even after fifty two years and hearing the Gospel from the best in the world personally, I still need to depend on the Lord to speak the right words through me and to present Him alone in all His glory. On Saturday (Jan. 17) we will held a special all day Bible school in Polish only in a classroom at the Moody Church for 15 Poles.
