The Polish Women’s Ministry in Chicago
The Polish Christian Women’s Conference has been an outreach event to the Polish speaking community in the Chicago area. Anna began that ministry almost four years ago. April 22, 2017 is the date for the fourth Polish Christian Women’s Conference. The Conference also includes a family event with drama, music, testimonies and a Gospel presentation. The ministry is under the umbrella of MissionPoland; and the women have their own executive committee. A marriage Conference is also being held in February, 2017. Both conferences will be held at the Bethel Community Church on Foster Ave. in Chicago which is in the heart of the largest Polish communities.
The Polish Evangelism and Teaching Ministry in Poland
Each year we minister by teaching or preaching in about twenty five different churches, prison ministries, camps and fellowships throughout Poland with God’s word and by His Spirit. We also have private meetings with the leaders of the traditional evangelical churches(Baptist, Evangelical, Brethren, Pentecostal, Church of God, Church of Christ and Independents), new emergent evangelicals, former Catholics, Catholic Renewal members and leaders, Charismatic churches, Oasis leaders and Catholic churches at the invitation of the lay people who have a parallel home church movement going; centered on the Bible. Almost everyone in Poland is affiliated with some church background, so when we have the support of the church overseers who know our material as it is published; We are able to proceed to teach or evangelize with great support from hundreds of Poles. We are able to overlook denominational lines and historical differences by clinging to the Scriptures and year of understanding the distinctions and emphasis each group has. In our calling and ministry there are only two distinctions that matter. Are your saved or are you lost? The rest can fall under the Spirit of what the Apostle Paul wrote, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4: 4-6 Our Gospel presentation and basic teaching is found in our two books which Poles have available to them in Polish and which challenge them to study from the Scriptures and trust in God alone.
